Jeff Ford? I didn't make it to Carlisle this year. Is this the same Jeff Ford that we had met in the past from M&F Magazine? Seth in NC http://www.cardomain.com/ride/458314
Jeff, welcome aboard and I cannot tell you how glad I am to have someone on here who may the capacity of getting other parts makers involved in the Maverick/Comet world. I look forward to the r-'n-p steering rack. That will solve a lot of problems under the hood.
I was fortunate enough to meet and talk to Jeff at Carlisle this year.Glad to have you in our ranks Jeff.Your editorials were the first thing I would read when I got my magazine each month.I think you will find that this forum has members that not only know their stuff but are extremely willing to share all their busted knuckle experiences with you.Good luck on the Comet and your new job.
Greybeard, you were at Carlisle?? Damn, I either missed you or just dont remember talking to ya. Or maybe I did and didnt place the name. I told Jeff the same thing about his editorials. They were the best.
Jeff, welcome to the board. Looking forward to your updates on this project. It sounds like it would be a great mod for the Maverick/Comet enthusiast. I know it would be one mod, I would interested in.
aboard Jeff. I think I speak for a lot of us when I tell you that we are honored to have you as a member. You have a rather large following with this crowd. I too am interested in a r&p setup for our cars. Our membership here is growing in leaps and bounds. I know that if it works out to be an affordable mod for us guys, there would likely be a lot of us making the changeover. Keep up the great work!!!
I am new here myself and have also recently purchased a 72 Comet. Was just on your website looking over your front suspension conversions. They look very high quality Look forward to seeing the pics, maybe in progress as well
Thanks! Thanks Rayzor, it looks like Mark Houlahan will pick up where I left off--at least the new publisher is allowing him to put feature shots of cars other than Mustangs on the cover of the book--something I wasn't allowed to do. For that I'm truly happy. LOL I guess this would be a good place to have some shots of the progress. What I am keenly interested in is what the three-link we have will do to the back end of the Comet and Maverick. I've seen photos of the Mustang prototype and it looks cool--and bolts right in. I will say this; I have had a much warmer reception here than at many of the other boards (aside from the 429 fourm) I belong to that are car related. Also, I truly appreciate all the support and kind words from those that knew me when I was an editor. Jeff :bananaman Sorry, had to put the dancing banana in here...
hello jeff, i am working at mounting an old fe motor in my maverick and had thought of using 90's mustang or t bird front suspension to gain room for the engine.i really like the looks of your shock tower kits.can they be modified so you can keep the upper a arm in place if the other suspension doesnt work out?i also thought of using nova or camaro sub frames and remove the ford set up. opinions on that possibility?
By the way I would like to once again invite you to the Round-up Nationals....... It would be great if you could attend.
Welcome Jeff, glad you found us here. I love your vomit,,(did I really type that?) We met last year at Carlisle. You are in the midst of some wonderfully gifted people here, with you joining it just makes this place that much greater. Dan
