Here is what my son's project car looked like when we got it a few weeks ago. We have made some progress since this but not much to look at. Thank you to everyone here who has answered questions, sold me parts and will be selling me parts in Carlisle. This board is the greatest!

not a chance. I just rebuilt the motor but I have the front spindles off to put the discs on, there's no interior in it. My son is 15 I got this so we could rebuild it together and he would learn how to do some work on cars and if he puts a lot of work in it he hopefully would take better care of it. The down side to that is that I have to wait till he's out of school to really get to work on it.

No picture updates yet. Just imagine it without the trim and Vinyl top, interior totally removed and the bumpers off. I needed to replace exhaust manifold gasket, pushrods, Heater Core (along with some A/C work that goes with it) and am starting to replace the front Drums to Disc. I am still hunting for the retractable seatbelt/shoulder harness for the passenger side and trying to decide which freon to install in the a/c system. well, OK I still need to reinstall the air box under/inside the dash with the new heater core and cleaned evaporator. ( I just picked up the heater core and expansion valve today)

without Comet now just keeping in touch
Reminds of my Comet, my paint is blue but oxidized just like that, hope to buff it out this weekend to see how well I can make it look until I can have it repainted, mine even has the same hubcaps and trim rings. Have fun with your son doin' this he'll never ever forget that time with you. My daughter was only 7 when I bought mine, but she still remembers the first time she got to ride in it, to this day she is the only one who shares my enthusiasm for the car. Your son, will appreciate the time you spend with him on this.
