I will be putting a pair of 1970 60cc chamber heads on my 1977 Mav this spring, and of course I will need to switch from the small plugs to the big uns.

No big deal, you say, but with my 77 electronic ignition, the gap on the original plugs is something like .55, compared to the usual .35 on older ignitions.

The car has a cam and 4 bbl, but stock exhaust manifolds and highway gears.

What plugs are you guys running when putting older heads on newer cars while maintaining the elctronic ignition?

motorcraft ASF-32C is what I used on the TurboMav with the older 302 heads. Went to BSF-32C's with the newer, smaller plug heads. Hope this helps.

I run autolite platinum's on my 70 mav. It was worth about a tenth in the 1/8th over champions.

I gap mine at .055 I figure the newer ing. has enough juice to jump the larger gap. I don't know if it's right or not,but It's been working for mine. Now if I can just get those new valve springs in and the that new tranny hooked up I'll be good to go.:) Russ

I run motorcraft plugs. There is a good variety of different heat ranges available for using the bottle or just motor power.

I run a set of Accel 675's side gapped to 45 with a MSD and a recurved stock Dist and havethis gives me crisp throttle response at all rpm.
