Maverick Cobra???

Has anybody thought of starting a Shelby Maverick clone i've seen many GT500 clones and Cobra clones and was wondering if some one has the money to start one of these?

I'm not saying that the shelby Maverick exists or doesnt exist?

But if there is a real one what engire do you guys think I would have had, I would guess a 351 or maybe a 390 and what kind of other specs, stock dual exhaust?

 

It would have to have a unique horn.

 

why? Do shelby have special ones?

 

I think its safe to say that there are several shelby inspired mavericks already done and out there. I can think of at least 5 or so just on this board , and thats not really trying to count them all...probly at least double that if you started looking.

If I was go going to do something like this, I would put a 289 in it.

that is an engine they put ina quite alot of mavs in mexico i would also put a HI-PO 289 or a HI-PO 302.

 

I'd have to go Boss 302 from a a '70

 

I'd have to go with a regular 302 and possibly build a stroker. The Boss 302 is too rare hard to get parts for. Way too expensive. I know...I have one.

 

Owned 2 in the past. one was installed in a 68 shelby gt350. ( installed before I purchased it) For a small block I still say they can't be beat
