My wifes 75 has a vynle top on it and I am wondering how to remove the trim without damaging the trim it self. One side already has a dent in it and I was going to start with that side but would rather not mess it up any more than it already is. not sure if I will have a top put back on just depend on how bad it looks under neath.
It is really pretty easy. I think there is only 1 screw, next to the rear window. For the rest I just used an old bottle opener like others have described on this forum.
Thanks, I was hopeing that I wouldn't have to pull the head liner to remove that trim Now I just need to find one of those bottle openers
In the trunk you will find nuts on eitehr side of the window. Remove those. Now (I think) the trim can be pushed "forward" and this will release the trim off off the tabs. I have done this removal several times. Unfortunatley I have done it so much that I forgot how I did it!!
