I like to say the People here on the Maverick/Comet Forums Are all greatest  and the Maverick/Comet Forums Have many others beat by a long shot when it comes to ever ones attitude showing each other respect on here.

The reason I posted this is because i was on a Mitsubishiforum asking some questions on a transmission interchanging and because i didn't spell eagle talon right the owner of the site jumps my *** for it and as i started looking though the post this guy was that way with almost ever one on that forum.

Thank you all for making this a great place for ever one.:)

First of all, you can't be too bright for dumping boat loads of money into old cars. Second, Maverick people are good 'ol regular people, not elitist like the Mitsu's, Beamers, etc. Third, because we are just regular folks with more money than sense, we can't do anything but be nice and respectful to each other.

That's what makes this such a great place. We are all just regular folks who don't need snotty attitudes and a Masters Degree in English. So what if we don't have tons of money or the sense to spend what money we have on more " collectable" cars. So what if can't spell worth a damn. We all have a great respect for each other and we have a darn good time. To me, that's what makes this place feel like home every time I come here.:) Mavericks travel in herds, and this is one happy herd.:D

As far as sense and money goes... I told my brother the first day we got the '74, "if your afraid of spending way more on this car then it's worth, we might as well sell it now." :)

Jean, I bet with some training I could develop a snotty attitude. It might take awhile and I'll probably have to ask a lot of questions, but then I could be the site's official "SNOT" and we wouldn't have to take a backseat to those other forums. And I could look down on the rest of you, too (oh, never mind, I already do look down on the rest of you).

Absolutely!:yup: I have on occasion visited other forums when I had a question related to thier vehical of choice. No matter how polite and friendly I have been, I have either been blowen off or totally ingored. The Dodge forum I visited was the worst. They acted like I was an intruder on thier turf. I got the impression of a bunch of guys with thier noses stuck so far up thier butts that they could smell thier own tonsils. This forum is by far the friendliest and most accepting of any forum I have ever been to. How's that old song go?... "We are family!"

    Xtasea,

I wish my wife was into cars like you. I am rebuilding her great grandmother's 74 Mav, and she sometimes sits in the garage drinking beer making sure "that damned car don't fall on ya!" The rest of the time she says "When ya gonna paint it?"

And she doesn't have a cool "she-devil" avatar like you.

    You are cool.

More on topic, I love this site. Whenever I get stuck on a project, something just doesn't want to work the way the Hayne's manual says, I get online and get a solution within an hour, usually.

If I have a technical "opinion" question, I get multiple responses. I am starting to get the feel for who has similar "tastes" as myself, and who to listen to and follow. This site is like 300 "dads" to help me with my car project.

Couldn't live without you guys (and girls)!
