One of my old boyfriends had one of those wagons. He got snookered up one night and plowed it head first into the side of a bridge. Damn if that car was still running afterward. It did die shortly after. One tough little car. He survied too, BTW.
Dan; don't laugh...back in '72, a dealer here, Hub Ford, offered a Maverick Stabber as a dealer option. It was blue with black striping and blacked out grill and tail panel, but with a flat hood, 302, three speed or auto, and aluminum wheels. A friend had one, but crashed it shortly after he bought it. It wasn't totaled, but never saw it after that. Earl
There was an old, ragged, Pinto Stallion that used to drive past where I worked in highschool almost every day. It was a red one.
I managed to grab a pair of the NOS Stallion fender decals off of Ebay for $15.50 about a year back. Wonder what they are worth now? Has this stamped on each decal backing sheet: MAVERICK STALLION EMB D6BB-16099 -AE3DA FF L MAVERICK STALLION EMB D6BB-16098 -AE3DA FF R This is one the actual Ford envelope they came in: ONE D6DZ 16098B TRANFER KIT Just thought I'd pass this along in case someone is putting together a Part Number FAQ ;^) I'm still debating whether to put it on "Pegasus" or not (even though its not a true Stallion, it is a '76 two-door Tracy
Probably not much. They are reproduced (see link). Also, most of those decals are dryed out and probably wont work anyway. I found this out the hard way when I bought a set of NOS Sprint badges. All they did was crack into a million pieces. Thankfully, those are reproduced also. http://www.osborn-reproduction.com/
