I just finished installing the PA Performance 95 amp alternator in the PoliceMav and I have to say...I'm impressed. (y) It does what they said it'll do and well. The install took about 1 1/2 hours from dismantle to engine on. For a non a/c car, it'll be a bit less time. With EVERY electrical accessory on including all the police lights and siren power, it showed over 14.5 volts at idle. Not too shabby, huh? The unit is an exact fit for our 5" case units and the complete procedure went without a hitch including converting the 3 wire harness to the 1 wire positions. I used the optional fake external regulator for appearance sake.

If there is interest in anyone purchasing this particular upgrade, which I now highly recommend, I'll post a step-by-step in the "Special Topics" forum as I took pix of the important steps. The install is anything but difficult.

I would like to see details. Have been looking at the same alt upgrade for about a year, but worried to get started.

    I am interested, post it!
