Looks like some extensive rust to the rear wheel wells. Is that the only spots like that on the car? What are your plans for the car?

the rear wheel wells are just about the only place with rust, there is some minor surface rust on passenger door.
i'm planning to do redo the paint, remove all the rust, stick a 302 or 351 in there with a 5 speed hopefully, (btw like my mazda donut spare on the back? ) i'll add more pics today after work.

Looks good to me. Definately saveable as long as there are no hidden problems under the paint.

    Welcome to the board.

If it's a true Michigan car, lets hope you don't find anymore rust. If that's all the rust there is, then you got very lucky. The salt in Muchigan eats through metal quickly. Thanks for the pics & sharing. Looks like a great project....

dash/odometer, engine bay, trunk, and door with minor rust pics added.

i've managed to climb under the car few times and there is very minor rust down there, apperently the underbody was coated with zibart (sp?) rust protection, because there is a sticker in the back window

You have a good enough car to create a nice car. Keep the pics coming on the progress. Yeah I like the little donut spare, have always thought of getting 4 of them and then going to a cruise in for laughs.

Put spacers behind those four donuts, and you'll have people thinkin' it will be bouncing in the air ( hydraulics) what a stupid fad that is ( was?)

That was a popular trend here a few years back by the brothers
Using them everyday all day long, to lower their cars the cheap way. haha
