I have a 69.5 speedometer that has a redline at 70mph. Did they use this in 70 and 71 as well? My 72 was a plain 120mph speedo.
I think that means: at any point when the speedometer is in this zone your car may explode without warning. Or, considering when they were built, it means "you DO realize you are speeding, RIGHT?"
That was "the ticket zone" when your wallet would blowup if caught National 55 speed limit did away with speedo markings like this. But what I was wondering was this speedo unique to the 69.5 or did others have it too?
In my experience, only the 70 models had this speedo. The speed limit was 70 at the time of course. Since it's back, these are cool! And they're pretty rare. There were tons of 70 models made, but you rarely see these speedos.
