Man, that was awesome! We took a few pics, I'll try to get them up later. Anyone see that red Escort that drag raced? :biglaugh:

Got to meet M.A.V., shook hands with Ray Parrish (his car looks even better in person!), and talked to Earl.

Anyone else thats got pics, lets see em'!

I can't wait till next year!! :bananaman

There was a nice little surprise when I arrived at the track this morning. I got to meet Dennis Martin, aka Mavaholic. I was surprised, he didn't look as eccentic as I had pictured.

Scapper60 (Jerry) showed up later in the day and it was a pure pleasure to meet him and his wife, Faye. Meeting Jim Baldwin and his wife was a delight. I was able to put a face with FoMoDave. Ray Parrish and his wife made the trip from the "Mississippi Squirrel Revival" area. Ray's car is gorgeous, his wife is a sweetie pie, and Ray is...did I mention how good Ray's car looked? It was great meeting new folks.

Rick Porter brought the family and my 13-year old daughter Savannah has new friend and e-mail buddy. Rick is a great guy. There was a chassis dyno there and he put his white and blue Maverick on there for a ride. He turned a fair number. I don't think it's anything you guys at the Round-Up need to worry about, though. (Rick, is that what you wanted me to say?)

Dan made it, Wayne (waynesford), MAV and his family, and , of course, Earl, were there. I apologize if I didn't mention your name here, but I am over 40. But, I know I'm leaving someone else out. Oh, yeah. Effie (Frank's wife) was there. Though she tried very hard, Frank kept finding his way back and she had to take him home.

Great weather; great event; great people; great day.

Dennis is coming to Florida? Too bad I didn't know, I'm pretty sure his family doesn't live too far away.

I am sorry to report that all of you have been fooled. There are reported sightings of Mavaholic across the USA every year about this time. The FBI is tracking all of this and will have him in custody in no time:bananaman :D . Its about time he got remarried!!!!!!

Was the littleredtoy out around Southern Pines on Saturday? I remember meeting a red Comet on route 211 or 22 around 1:00 or 1:30. Nice looking car. I was on my way to Raeford to pick up a van.

Just made it in the door (Sunday 1:00pm) We spent the night north of Commerce with some inlaws. and came back through town this morning to eat breakfast. Met Ricks wife and kids at the Krystal, nice people. Although it was a long day I still felt like the time went by too fast ,and I didn`t get to meet and visit with some of you the way I wanted to. Between trying to See it all ,watch some racing and talk to people the day was like a blurr...and it was time to leave . I really enjoyed seeing everyone, and looking forward to next time !:bananaman
