Welcome Lee....I'm really glad you made it as this is the place to be! (y) I really hope you get your engine rebuild finished before the Parksville Show. Do you already have it out? I know of a complete '84 5.0 motor for $100(maybe less) that you could rebuild instead...let me know...k

Ok Here's A pic of the Pumpkin. at the moment, it is a stock 2 door, 250 comet. it originally had a black vinyl top, however the previous owner had it removed when the car was sprayed about 5 years ago. it is the original color, with a black vinyl/cloth interior. bench seat, and three on the tree. it has a rear window defogger, and optional front disc brakes. i pulled a 302 from my parts car, a '73 maverick. the block has been machined and prepped, i have all the rebuild parts, and just last week i took a bunch of parts to the machine shop for balancing. My plans for the comet are to do a bumber swap to '73 bumpers off my parts car, do an engine swap with my soon to be performance 302, and have the car sprayed with a gunmetal grey base, and charcoal metallic rally stripes. Cliff, let me know on that hood scoop of yours. i might need it for the GT look :bananaman

    yeah, that'd be sweet.

i don't know if you can see it in the picture, but the comet's riding on a set of 14" cragar "ss" wheels, soon to be replaced with 15" rear, 14" front 5 slot mags.

    cheers
