I own a 71 maverick that served me well as a reliable daily driver. I knew It could be more. I've fell in love with my car over the years, and now she is my first "project car" I restored the interior first. It had been eaten by mice. The car seemed to appreciate this, as it still was running reliably with the 200L6 & 3spd. Well, last winter i decided that I WAS NOT replacing the clutch for the 5th time! I was burning through a clutch every 8 to 10 months. Prior to this I had parted out a 76 4dr w/302. so I started building. that spring I was done with motor/tranny swap. Glitches, gremlins, ignition and carb problems kept me from running @ the airport. Hopefully this June.

Basically I got inspired by "Fast and Furious" and decided to build a 1971 version of what those guys were doing.

I now have a hopped up 302 and a racing C4, lots of gauges, good stereo, nice interior, custom lighting (LEDs rule), custom gauge cluster (yes you can fit a tach in the left side of the stock cluster)

Can any one give me a hp estimate bassed on mods?

The mav is gone but i'm still here!
for an estimate of hp i would think over 300 horses but then again after 74 the 302 dropped from 290hp to 134hp because of the emission restrictions but it still has more power than those riceburners on "the fast and the furrious".

    Nice pics:yup: .
