Ok, first things first, I am talking about the vinyl on the roof of my car. It is cracked and peeling, but some parts are still glued down pretty tight. I need to know the easiest way to get it off. I asked my hubby to do it, but he has been really busy with work and classes. I chipped off all of the loose peices, but like I said, that darn glue has me stuck(pun intended...lol)

Geez...you know how to get a guys attention, don't you. :)

I usually get one of the razor blade scrapers like they use when they peel off inspections stickers. You can buy a box of straight edge blades for about $6. You're gonna scratch the roof up but it's gonna have to have some work on it anyway. Just be extra careful because those blades can hurt you. Keep a sharp blade in the scraper too. And good luck, it's a little time consuming but I think the best way to do it. Oh yeah, I want a pic with the top off too!!!

You may want to get two boxes of razor blades. They tend to break easily and it's not hard to go through a box of them in no time. A real sharp putty knife comes in handy at times too. Just to be on the safe side, wear a good thick pair of gloves to protect your knuckles. Leather works best if you can get some.
