To install a B&M Ratchet shifter?? I just bought one off of ebay. It has no cable so I'll hafta get one. It also has no console, so I'll build a nice one. I figured for 11.50 including shipping I had to try it. I know a lot of people on here have them, so I'm banking on somebody here walking me through it when I get it. Thanks guys and gals!!! Preston

You will need the proper transmission bracket and transmission lever along with the cable. Not hard to install at all. You can print the instruction manual directly from the B&M website.

did you already have a floor shift?

Its not difficult at all.....I did it :D
Brackets are easy to get and the cable can be had at your local parts house....atleast here Autzone and Pepboys both sell the cable from B&M.
Photo is when mine was just roughed in. But it might help.

I could very well be wrong but I think you need to take the valve body out and flip the shift lever over.

Instead of reversing the valve body lever, try running the cable from the front or back. It'll work both ways. Also don't be afraid to use a long cable with gentle turns. It works much better that way and secure it well. I also built a metal box, similiar to what the factory does, to house the lower assembly and protect it from dirt and road grime. Also minizies noise and fumes.

the hardest part is cutting the hole on the floorboard and routing the cable away from the exhaust and stuff...

it is really simple....takes maybe 4 hours...
