Well, I had 5 days total to do what ever I wanted for spring break. Well, nothing ever goes as planned.I went into the week planning on swaping the 302 and T5 into my 86 mustang for my girlfriend to wreck....I mean drive. Well, in the short coming to spring break my roommate finally got his dream car a 55 belair and I had helped him with it a little. Which sparked my fire to get the mav on the road again. So, sunday rolls around and I roll them mav out from under the torn tarp it has sat under for the past year and a half. With no windshield and a torn tarp some of the parts laying inside got a wet but nothing was ruined. I cleaned it out and began piecing it back together like dr frankenstein on a mad binge.I put the interior back together in a day but still lack the lower dash and pedal assembly.I played my cards right and got to spend some time with the mav after seeing my girlfriend...lol! I installed all the rear lights and put on my small bumper. After that things went down hill, I had to troubleshoot and change a distributer on my sisters 95 camry, then I got to change the rear brakes on moms saturn.Fun fun!! Then just last saturday night I get to spend the whole day with her and guess what I may have finished at 4am but her heart transplant went just fine. The 302 and T5 slid into the mav like it belonged there. Things left to do, mount and plumb in the fuel pump drill and install front bumper sting out and install the efi wiring finish the lower dash and pedals mount the grill and driveshaft and get the windshield put in Not much, just the time that I dont have
Just came off of spring break myself. Didn't even get to see the Maverick. I am however bidding on some things for it to take as a peace offering when I see her next time. I hope she will forgive me. Sorry about your rough week. Good Luck!! Preston
My spring break is the first week of April. Probably be getting a 70' Maverick sometime during spring break hopefully.
Yea... I think today is the warmest it's been here all year. I'm more of a winter guy myself. I can handle the cold. As long as it's not raining or super windy, I'm happy. But man, you don't want to be around me when I'm working on a car in 90 degree heat. Heat brings out the worst in me... I wish it stayed about 40 or 50 year round.
It wasnt all that bad. Plus I like the warmer weather down here.I must say its not summer till you can cruise with the windows down going nowhere
For the coming of spring, I put the snowmobiles away for the season. The plow will stay out until May. Now I have a yard of melting tracks and emerging frozen dog poo.
