    Hey everyone!

Just wanted to show everyone my progress. I just stripped down the whole front end and am about to start suspension work. There is alot of grinding and sanding needed to this car. I found a 73 comet and am buying it for around $75-$100 dollars. I am going to use the front end on this one because it is alot better shape. (Not much Rust). Let me know what yall think.

    Thanks,

    Jeff

    Hey Jamie,

I don't really know what parts I would be comfortable selling due to poor quality of the spare parts. I am basically buying all new front end parts. Now for engine, if you have an I6, I may be able to just give you some small stuff if you need...maybe in exchange of a weber carb...but what are the chances that you have one, right? I was actually suprised how easy the break down was. Took me less than thirty minutes with the only thing out was the engine. I took an air chisel with a cutting blade and went to work. Made it look pretty clean too. After I grind and sand that stuff down, I'll send some pics.

    Later,

    JEff

Sorry Jamie, the tailights themselves need replacing...they are filled with moss... no idea how that happened. You got some spare stuff?

I'd still take them if the lenses aren't busted or anything. They can be dissasembled and cleaned out.

I'm going to be turning a Maverick into a Comet, just trying to gather parts. I will have plenty of spare Maverick parts, including a nearly flawless 70' grill and stuff pretty soon when I switch the front end.

Looks like you got her going your way jeff. Keep on it. I passed on the 73 I looked at (or did I tell you already). Absolutely no rust on it, but it needed a decent bit of body work. Anyway, call me and let me know your work schedule. I'll get you down to the house and we'll tear something up. Let me know, and take care......Preston
