for only discontinued american mavericks.. the maverick name reappeared in europe in the early/mid 80's as a small suv and it still to this day is being producedas a ford maverick, it is quite popular, as i take it. The maverick name, is likely to return to the u.s., but not till 2004 at least, and it will jsut be a low emissions hybrid version of the popular european suv. but it will bear the maverick name..
