    Hello all,
Just sealed my fuel tank and replaced the fuel sending unit but the o ring is tall and I cannot seem to get the lock ring in place. Is there a trick to this that I’m missing? It’s a 70.

Trick? Not that I know of, but they're a huge pain.

The o-ring is tall because there is a groove in the tank it fits into. Put some grease in that groove and push the o-ring into it to hold it in place. Insert the sender and then you should be able to get the lock ring on and drive it around with a screwdriver.

Make sure you have the correct O-ring...

yes, the O-ring needs to be square, not round.
