The engine bay in the late model Mustangs are way wider than the Maverick. I dont know for sure but I'd say they wont even come close to working.

The drivers side will dump right on top of the steering box.If it even goes down in there.

I have a stock set of 5.0 Mustang headers, I tried putting them
on. They hit the shocl tower on the drivers side and were right
    on the steering box.

In an eailer(5-2-02) post by Corbin Johnson he said he had no problems running Hedman 88400 shorties. What brand and part# do you have?

A long time ago I put a roller 5.0 in a 73 ... The original Mustang factory headers didn't even come close to fitting ...

I tried a set and they wouldn't even come close. I'm not sure what brand they were.

I really do not see why anyone would spend money on shortie headers since they do not offer any improvement at all in H.P.,none! Put a set of Hooker 6901s on if you want headers.

this is funny.. back in 1990 i went to hedman to find out if they would work. he gave me a set to try out cuz they didn't know at the time if they would work..... yep they didn't work...

sorry this just bringing back memories. is that what happens when you get old? Bob? Craig? Dennis? anyone else old? ;)

anyways early model shorty headers for a mustang should work. i think i recall someone on this board having them. then again i could be getting old and senile and just making this up!
