Retractable Seat Belts

    My 72 Grabber did not have retractable seat belts.Was this an option? I found a nice set in the wrecking yard today from a 73 I believe. Anyone have any information on this?

    The information I have says retractors were optional in 71, not sure when they became standard.

    73 I believe is when they became standard, I could be wrong but I have never seen a 73 that didn't have retractors. I'm pretty sure you could put em in your 72 I'm gonna make an attempt to put em in my 71 eventually I cannot stand the chokers it has now.

    From the general appearance, it looked like the retractables were in the same position as the non-retractables. I will find out more when I go strip that car in a week or two.

    Old age has prevented me in remembering when this when the retractors were standard.

    I think it was a mid year thing in 72. All the Sprints I've ever seen has them and they were late 72 production.
