    This one is cleaner...

I have seen this one for sale before, apparently it never sold.

Hey, Selvey, or Ken Merring, or someone may know the answer here, did the '75 Comet GT's come with a black painted scoop?
This is the second one that I have seen that way. My '74 is body colored with the stripe package around it being black.

I know '71-'74 even if the side stripes were gold, white, silver, red or whatever, the hood stripe was always black, even on a black car. I have seen silver stripes on the side, black stripes on the hood, and an argent taillight panel, but I have seen it black as well.

    ...oh yeah....

Note the power brake booster, but notice the missing shock tower supports.

All Comets are of the Maverick style.

littleredtoy....I don't have an answer for you. I really don't know too much about the Comets,

Removing those spring tower braces is NOT a good idea. They were there for a reason...

"Here's a real GT on Ebay right now"

I'm suspicious as to whether that's a "real" Comet GT...it doesn't have the 'ducktail' on the deck lid like the Grabbers do and the shifter is on the column instead of on the floor. I suspect it may just be a regular Comet that someone put a GT hood scoop on and bucket seats...

    Only comets?

    Craig

I think the owner of this 1963 comet would be really upset to learn that.

Someone needs to do his homework!

    Hey T.L.,

If you would do your homework better you would see that the comet gt from 1971 never came with the tail and that the column shifter was stock also.

If you would have seen this car when I bought it you would understand that this car is fully stock except for the rims.

That 63 Comet is actually an early Maverick Marauder :)

I misunderstood your post and now realize you were stating that this was the FIRST year of the Maverick styled Comets.

I have a wing but never had a Comet GT under it. Does that count?
