First, let me pat you on the back for making your car secondary to the little ones. I also think that not selling ALL of it was a good idea. Now, if your P&Ps are like the ones near me, there are 15 v-6 explorers for every 1 v-8 car. BUT.....Mountaineers are always v8. There is no 96 mountaineer, only 97s manufactured in 96. If the engine bay is still full and you cant see the heads, check the manufacture date in the door. If it is 9/96 or earlier, chances are good for GT40 (non P) heads. Also, if you have a few to choose from, check milage.....and make sure oil fill cap has no moisture on the bottom. A look under the valve cover is always nice, but takes a little time.....but if you want a motor that doesnt scream "rebuild" you have to be a little picky. Lincoln mark VII from 87-92(?) had HO motors too, but not gt40 heads. Good Luck!!!! and happy hunting!
Thank you very much. I had to put it on the back burner and when we needed money I'd sell my parts to make it thru tough times. Hopefully ill get lucky and get everything all at once if not there are two pick and pulls here that are close together
This might be worth looking at http://www.ebay.com/itm/1966-Ford-I...ash=item4d526b27cd:g:h3kAAOSwa~BYbAP-&vxp=mtr

I cant believe the shortage of old Ford stuff in nyour P&P. This has been there since last october, probably not much left, but may have a 302 manifold. Two bucks to see if it isnt too far away. https://row52.com/Vehicle/Index/RNDnHXWbJbbnpVfYaPuPCRINJ
If all you are looking for is a 2V intake, I probably got one you could have if you pay shipping, but I'm in WV. How about this 66 4V intake in Austin. https://austin.craigslist.org/pts/5977796604.html
Per the tag that's a '65 intake from a 289 "A" code Mustang... Has 4J4 casting date so was cast Sept 4 1964, fairly early intake for a true '65...
