HI everyone. My 73 Comet has a 250 six in it and the only thing I see running to the choke on the carb is the metal line that runs down into the exhaust manifold. Is this a manual choke? Thinking of getting a weber carb and using an electric choke. How do I hook that up? Thanks so much everybody.

The choke tube into the manifold fills the choke cap with warm air. The warmer the air the more the choke opens. A manual choke is one you have to open and close manually via a knob or switch inside the car. I think Boss 429's were manual choke.

Thanks Jason. I just saw the heat choke online. Not an expert on the old gadgets that were all attached to carb parts. Learning more everyday. Going to go with an electric choke this time I think.
