Which Motorcraft locking gas cap is the correct fit for a '76 Comet 4 door 6 cyl ? Looking on eBay, I see FC-751 and FC-756. Thanks
Early caps have two tabs that insert into the filler tube. Yours should take the one with four (two smaller tabs added). I know someone who has a cap, don't know if it early or late ... PMing both of you.
If you are interested I'll sell this one to you, it is a NOS comet locking gas cap. I have the keys for it.
Hi William It looks great. I've been trying to recreate my (long gone) Comet one piece at a time. Here's the only photo I have of the back: I remember it as a Motorcraft. I got the following from eBay:
