Does a 74 comet use a bushing for the connection of the MC push-rod to brake pedal? Melvins classic Ford sells one for up to '73. I dont have one. Is there supposed to be one there, or does the "slop" have something to do with the brake light switch operation?

I believe there is suppose to be a bushing there, IIRC. I will take a look - my car is a 73.

It was a misprint in the catalog... the bushing fits 70-77 Maverick and 71-77 Comet.

Hey guys i am new to the forum and i have a couple questions. i am doing a conversion to 4 wheel disc brakes and i cam across Right Stuff products from JEGS. i already have the front done it was done before i bought the car. I am looking to upgrade my 1974 Ford Maverick can anyone let me know if these would work in my vehicle with minor fitting adjustments and has anyone used any of these products and how are they. any information would be appreciated.

    thanks

tried already want to buy a rear disc kit for a maverick because find old car parts that will fit in the car would take a while and would rather buy it new. any other recommendation of rear disc brakes kit for a ford maverick that would work

Modify an explorer 8.8 rear end and it will have rear disk brakes.

You will have to shorten the drivers side and get an extra passenger side axle. Not too difficult.
