So, for those of you that have one, what did you use for a door loom to get the cable from the door to the cabin? I see stainless door looms on ebay, but they are only 3/8" diameter which I don't think are big enough.

If I remember correctly, the passenger remote didn't go in a loom, it's just a grommet to seal it to the door, and the jamb.

    I'm assuming you're using Pinto/ MustangII mirrors?

You can take it apart too and put a Maverick base on it be careful with cable though and control.

I just used the grommets that were on the cable already, but you could use a rubber wire protected like they use on new cars that's probably the best way.

I used a mirror from a full sized car so the cable controller can be mounted on drivers side.

I believe I have Mustang II mirrors, the passenger side has a considerably longer cable controller.

Did you install the Mustang ll mirrors? How did they look? I have a set for my car but I did not realize the base angle was different.

I have a pinto passenger mirror with remote....it has two grommets on the cable and the little joystick thingie was mounted under the dash slightly to the drivers side of the middle. I can post some pics of it tomorrow. It would require holes put in the door and door jamb for grommets that the cable passes through, and one hole under the dash for joystick to mount. I thought it would be nice, but am not motivated to install it currently.

I think my Maverick has Mustang II mirrors on it. I will try to get you a pic this weekend.

The blue car is factory sport mirrors. The white, I am almost 100% sure are Mustang II mirrors. They are mounted too far forward but hopefully you will be able to see the angle they mount at.

Thanks for posting the pics. That is a noticeable difference. I think I will try to find a set of Maverick mirrors.

That's about what I suspected they would look like. May just sell mine.
