thats too wide, isn't it. Would require major modification...maybe even a flat tail light panel....just thinking out loud.

I had a couple of 58 T birds which was similar but had 2 round lights at each end. It is a very wide panel.

unless i'm blind as a bat... which i very well could be.... they look like they'd just fill up the pannel top to bottom and come almost clear out to the gas cap...but yeah i was either thinking those .... OR (bad me) some 70 C-word tail lights... the two round ones on each side... i donno what it is about round tail lights...

another dumb idea i've had is to take off the whole front end of the mav, and replace it with a 68/69 c-word front end and use those tail lights, trying to give off the idea that GM made a 4 door c-word...

but then i realized that i live in the real world and would be hated by both sides of the fence (ford And gm).

btw my "c-word" is the Cam.... i better not say anymore.:slap:

Not quite as bad as what you are thinking, but a buddy of mine has Cougar tail lights on his 70 Mav...
Oh, wait, that isn't the bad part...
He has a 67 Stang front clip!
Fenders, hood, grille, bumper... the works. :)
    Wierd looking thing.

You could always just take the round tail light parts and put them on...

The center of the Maverick panel is raised so you would have to flatten it or those tail lights will hang out in the air on the top and bottoms.

It looks like the round chrome bezels around the lenses might be a separate piece from the large oval part.
If so, you could just use those bezels with some round lenses. That would look cool.
If not, just cut them loose!
After that, you have more options:
*Use 4 red lenses and 2 white and have rev. lights.
*Use all red lenses and f the rev. lights.
*Use all red lenses and put a sequential system on it.
*Use 2 red, 2 white, 2 amber and have the turn signals seperate.

My 71 Stang gas cap does that, but it's not noticeable unless you are right next to it and looking for it.
