I'm putting my 74 grabber back together and I have no turn signals. I can find one flasher under the dash, but all these threads indicate that there are 2. I know the one I found works with the hazards (which are working fine). Where is the turn signal flasher? I have looked and looked. I don't know if this is related, but when I do turn on my hazards, only the right instrument cluster green arrow lights, I can't imagine this interfering with the turn singles, but I've learned to never assume. Also, totally different subject, but I need an inner bracket that bolts inside my trunk to my left rear marker light, I can't find mine for the life of me. Anyone have an extra they want to part with?
I would have the bracket. Email me DIRECTLY if I can help. Your turn signals will not "flash" if the bulb is burned out, bad ground, etc
Which bulb Craig? The small internal instrument cluster bulb? The 1157's (I think that is what they are) are all fine in the outside lights. Also, do you know where the second flasher is?
So when you turn on the emergency flashers...do all (4) on the outside "flash"? What about with the lights "on"....do all (4) still "flash"?
On my '72 the std flasher is just to left of parking brake assembly, behind lower lip of dash.. The four way is in the cable(harness) from the fuse box, approx 8" from box(easiest to find)... BTW a directional light out in dash won't make any difference...
Interesting, I was just working on this tonight and when the flashers are on both fronts flash and the right rear, but no flashing on the left rear. All running lights work. Still nothing on the flashers though.
Here's another lighting question. I put the wiring harness for the deck lid right in my new deck lid, but what the heck shuts this light off? It comes on just fine, but with the deck closed it still is on. I figured there was some sort of mercury switch, but it's just a lead with a socket that plugs in.
