I ordered my spectra tank and aeromotive phantom kit. Did you guys use the vent hole area to install the in tank pump? Is there sufficient room for the fuel lines? Tanks inc sells a recess which is an alternative to the vent hole. How much room did you guys have from the trunk floor to the lines. Pictures are welcomed. Thanks guys

Ha. How much room do you have for the lines?

    Not much but it works.
The weld in access plate is nice. I did not learn about it until after. Just added expense.

Installed a Tanks.Inc pump in the tank of my 70 Mav, worked well and wasnt too difficult. Ran steel brake lines to the engine comp, then flex lines to the 5.0 injector lines IMG_1965.JPG IMG_1969.JPG IMG_1972.JPG IMG_1973.JPG IMG_1966.JPG

I forgot to mention that I did not use their vent hole, I plugged it and vented my tank via the filler tube, installed a fitting at the top of the tube and ran a hose to the trunk floor for the vent. I did order the pump with the optional vent, but the darn thing leaked fuel, so I nixed that.

My spectra F30 tank came in and so did my aeromotive phantom 340 in tank.

Measure twice cut once, 3 1/4 hole for the pump.

The tank is 9 1/2 inches deep at this point. Add an inch to the foam and make the cut.

Use the template and drill the holes.

Make the cut to the bracket at 9 1/2, cut the plastic tube accordingly and connect the pump. Make sure you clean out the metal shavings from the tank and install.

Test fitting the tank the body today. The 45 -8 fitting hit on the hump. I reclocked it one over and the return straight -6 hit but was better. Pulled the BFH and a rounded body working dolly and went to work. Made enough room without it being too noticeable. An old rubber shock bushing works good I between the tank and floor for a little extra room.

Since I ran my hoses to the front of the tank, I did not have the clearance issues.

They offer a vent tube with a check valve. I connected it to the original vent line to the canister.

Did you run an inertia switch to the pump?

Thats what I did with mine, but it didnt stop the gas from spilling out, was worthless for me, maybe you will have a different outcome. Hope so.

No issues with the vent tube after 3,000 miles. Is your spillage during fill up? Maybe your line is plugged.

Inertia switch is part of the Ford Racing harness. Mine is mounted near the computer in the passenger compartment. It controls a relay mounted in the trunk. Power is from the trunk mounted battery with marine breakers providing protection and switching.
