My 73 Maverick began life as a 6cyl with column automatic. It now has a 347 and a T-5 tranny. I also replaced the steering column to the floor shift variety. I can trace the black/pink wire from the trunk to where it goes through the fuse box before the trail runs cold. I know where the connection to the T-5 is. Can anyone show me showing how all this goes together?

By the way, what is a "Start Interlock Back Up Lamp Switch" and where is it located? I have a set of factory wire schematics. They show the switch and the wires that go to it but nothing about its location.

In my '70 it was on top of the steering column near the firewall.

That sounds familiar and it's been too long but a "Start Interlock Back Up Lamp Switch" sure sounds like a combination neutral safety/backup switch to me.

I have the same issue. Going from a C4 floor shift to a T5.
