Can anyone point me to where I can buy 4 chrome inserts to plug the holes in the rear bumper for the bumper pads in a 1972 Maverick? I know I have seen them, but I cannot find them now.

Those are SS bolts with polished heads. They will work, but I once saw chrome plated caps that insert into the square holes. SS might be better anyway since I'm sure the chrome plating would be cheap and thin. Thanks.

I don't think I have seen chrome ones. The original ones I have are stainless. Polished on a buffing wheel, they look like chrome.

I had the holes welded closed before re-chroming the bumper.

Thanks, I'll just get these. Yes, another lesson learned for my next life Maverick restoration, a solid rear bumper. I spent way too much $ on bumpers to not get what I wanted.

Been there. I tried to learn from my Jaguar restoration. Ended up going through hell on the Maverick. Pissed away thousands on other people's mistakes. Didn't get the car I envisioned and took all the enjoyment out of it. Shame. I have a 63 Impala and another Maverick. Don't know if I have the strength.

Keep plugging away. You will get there. Try not to let it drive you crazy.
