I need your thought , I'm thinking I don't want the P/S and A/C in my car. It would junk up the engine bay. With that said, is it worth the trouble to get rid of the dash and A/C heater controls too? Looks to me it may be a daunting task. I want to put the engine and trans from my mustang in the Mav. The fstbk stang went 13.10 at 107 mph on street tires so the maverick will be in the mid 12's if I'm thinking right. I was leaning at the survivor side but that's no fun.

    No,
I just want it to be quick on the street and turn heads eventually. I've been researching a blow thru turbo set up, should gain another second or more. I think my motor will handle some extra boost. I don't care for A/C or P/S, my stang never had it, no biggy.

my 70 doesnt have either and i like it. its not a daily driver so imn not to concerned with the heat durring the summer. however i would like to drive it more in the summer but its so hot. i have found an electric ac that mounts cleanly under the dash but its about $1600. thatll be my way to go in a few yrs after i get other things done to it. nice part about it is, i can now go black interior and ride all day without sweating, and still keep the drag off the engine.

Hey Satch: VINTAGE AIR has some really neat Under the Dash Units you could install and get AIR A N D HEAT for about $1200.00 .. We have installed FIVE of them in the past ten years and coincidentally the interiors were and
are All Black .. No Problem with any of them. If you decide to go that route and need some hoses "crimped" lemmeno
we have crimpers here and if you " Clock" the hoses and mark them , I'll crimp them for you if you pay the shipping
    both ways.

If ur going all black, you might consider doing the center insert in a fabric/cloth material. Black vinyl gets awfully hot sitting in the sun. I had my seats done this way and it was one of the best changes I have done next to upgrading the AC.

I'm replacing an AC Compressor on my Daughters Maverick. The compressor if fine .. It's just that it's a V-Belt
Pulley and we're converting to Serpentine Belt Drive so I've purchased a new Polished Sanden Compressor when
we put this engine back together. I'm going to post the compressor in the "For Sale" section when I've completed
    the re-install and fire-up.

Here is the pix u requested! I had the covers made by a member on this forum, several here have used the same source.
If you want to have him give you a quote "fredcarello@yahoo.com". If you decide to go w/ him "patience is required", took me about 7 weeks as I recall. At the time of my purchase was$530.00 shipped - I installed them. Once he contacts you he will send sample of material he has available and process gets underway at that point.
He sent me two samples of the cloth inserts black cloth and gray/black tweed. Image 0671 was old front seat cover. I am very happy w/ the covers and wud never go back to full vinyl.
