    Hi guys,
I just thought that I'd thow a picture out there of my new Maverickman Carbon trunk lid with integrated spoiler! It was Christmas in March for me!!! Let the drooling begin!

The alignment isn't perfect, but please blame that on my bad alignment skills and my slightly tweaked Maverick. I could never get the stock one to line up perfectly either!

No coating. It's an old MAS fiberglass rear bumper and it came with that flat black color already applied. The front one is from them too, but it has some issues. The back one was much nicer than the front.

It's slightly taller. I'm going to guess by about a half inch. I'd love to post more pictures, but I took the car to the tuners yesterday and I'm not going to get it back until next week. :( I didn't even have it on for 24 hours before it was gone.

I can show you a picture of my empty garage.

Looks like it lines up just fine with the quarter panel extensions

It took me a while to get to where it is right now, but depending on the angle it looks better or worse. But like I said, it's all because of me and my particular car.

Meanwhile, allow me to warn you now much it hurts when you are trying to loosen the spring tension on the trunk lid and the spring slips and bashes you in the thumb right at the base of your fingernail! Ouch!!!

Whew! You're lucky that is all you got - that spring is nasty :yikes:

Yeah, and it was on the tightest setting at the time. My old trunk lid and stock spoiler where heavy. So I was trying to drop it down and it slipped. I got lucky in that it snapped back and dropped into the third slot instead of hitting me uncontrolled. It's bruised and bled pretty good.

But look at the trunk lid! It was worth the pain!!!

Oh and for what it's worth, I had to use the loosest setting. I'm sure that I shed a ton of weight by going to this. The end caps alone were amazingly light! Unfortunately it was weight from the back of the car. It's the other end I need to drop the pounds. I am going to look at lexan and door mechanisms pretty soon. I'm thinking of going with straps for the windows like the old Darts had.

Looking good, can't wait to get mine on and aligned. I already moved it to the lightest setting.

Roll bar was in the way and couldn't get vice grips or a cheater bar in there. Bad planning on my part! I was using the box end of a small wrench.

Thanks! I feel that Derrick (Maverickman Carbon) outdid himself on this one! It's a beautiful piece. I wish that he could do a whole pro-mod style body for one of these!
