I have tore down the 302 that I pulled out of my 72 Maverick.. I do know it's a 74 block that is 40 over, and the heads are 72 58cc heads.. The cam I pulled out of it, I am not having any luck finding the specs on it.. The guy I bought the car off of didn't build the motor and thought the motor was stock.. It did have alittle lope to it.. The marking in between the cam gear and the 1st lobe is D5.. on the end of the cam is a yellow dot with what looks like the numbers 467890 with the letter G under the numbers.. Was wondering if anybody had a clue what the specs might be or point me in the direction to where I could find out what the specs are.. Thanks again..

sorry can't help you with the numbers but I am curious why it matters?

you liked it so much that you're planning on buying another one to match it?

Do you have the tools/know how to degree a camshaft?.. or maybe just check the cams lobe lift with a caliper to see how aggressive it might be?

It really doesn't matter.. As far as buying 1 to match it, I don't believe I said I was buying 1 to match it.. I have a 302 that I built in the car now. The reason for doing alittle research on the cam that came out of the old motor is more curiosity than anything..

Stick the cam in a block, set up a degree wheel and dial indicator and you can measure to see what you have.
