I've got my 73 maverick with the 9 inch in the rear. I'm trying to find the right offset rims that will allow me to put the widest tires possible in the rear with out rubbing. Does anyone a good offset or rim choice. Thanks in advance.

Unless the rear has been changed the car doesn't have a 9 inch rear, it has an 8 inch rear.

If the rear has been changed to a 9 inch then the overall width would make a difference on what size tire you could run on the car.

I run a 255/60/15 on the back of my cars on 15x7 inch wheels (IIRC the backspacing is 4 1/4) with no rubbing problems.

I honestly haven't checked my tag but I thought it was a short 9 cause it had a 9 style pumpkin. But those are the tires I have but I'll have to check my spacing. Thanks
