Grabber setup for V8?

    I was wondering if a 6Cyl. Grabber would have been set up for a V8? Like didn't V8 Mavericks have some kind of extra bracing to support the V8 from twisting the car?

    there was a front crossmember on the v8's. also different springs, but a lot of people use the 6 cylinder springs.:)

    So all a V8 has different from a 6Cyl is a front crossmember and different springs?

    Different motor/frame mounts, different throttle cable, different tranny cross-member ...

    But you don't have to do anything for stability of the car? That's what i'm asking... it has a 302 in it... but it was a 250... I'm just wondering if it would have to be beefed up to support the extra HP and Torque..?

    They had more bracing at the base of the shock tower but its really not needed.

    Didn't the later 250 cars ahave the same springs as the 302 cars? Also I seem to remember an old roommates 250 car having the front crossmember. Hers was a 1976 I think.

    My '70 had a 250,put in my 302 and it sits higher than it did w/250.Had a '70 w/200,put in a 302,SLAMMED it.Looked good,scraped on everything.
