Hey guys, so my car is pretty much rust free, except the driver side of the trunk floor. I assume the gasket on the trunk leaked on that side. I just have small rust holes, like the size of corn kernels and they are only around the runners that run parallel to the length of the car. I am wondering if the spacing on those runners is the same as on the mustang...that way I can just cut out a small piece and patch it. I can shape the sheetmetal myself, but that takes time, and I would prefer to not spend the time. Any ideas??

I used sheet metal on mine, but I had major rust issues. If the rust holes are small, then you can probably get away with Rust Bullet or POR-15.

For some reason it is not letting me post a pic straight from my phone. But I think I figured out what I am going to do. I have a gas tank from a 1968 Eleanor movie clone car and the ridges and edges look pretty darn close. I think I am going to slice it up and see how it will work as a patch.
