Does anyone have the original or remanufactured power steering pump on their Maverick or Comet? I have a 73 Mav 302 and need to replace the PSP again and none of the local auto parts can get one from their distributors. RockAuto has several and the Cardone remanufactured pump seems to be one of the better choices. I cannot find anywhere that specifies what type of fluid to use. It says to use the manufactures recommendations. I've heard that I use Type F transmission fluid. I've tried the other fluid that's in the newer fords and it messed up my pump. Had to replace it and used type F and it lasted several months. No power steering now. Anyone ?

    Thanks

You ONLY want to use Type F trans fluid.
