Strut Rod bolts

    Hey Fellas, I was curious on what some have done when they need new Strut rod to lower control arm bolts? the ones I have the splines and threads are FUBAR.. I see the replacement bolts are like 40 bux... Has anyone just used regular say grade 8 bolts with good results?

    I don't see why a good grade 8 bolt won't work...

    AFAIK the splines are mostly for holding the bolt so work on assembly line is quicker...

    Did grade 8's on a friends Mustang and as far as I know they are still there.

    Thats what I am going to do.. just torque them to spec..
