I picked up a low mileage T5 from a 98 Mustang with a V6 for $150. They are the equivalent of the mid/late 80's 5.0 trans mission as far as torque rating and for a mild driver it should hold up just fine. It is different in some ways from the 5.0 transmissions, it uses the larger flywheel and is more like the 94-95 5.0 tans in that it has a longer input shaft than the early transmissions.

Since I was swapping from an auto this made sense but your car having a manual already you could find a 87-93 Mustang GT unit and use one of these with your stock bell housing.

Glad to see you are back Dianne, this time I would like to see you complete the car I am sure when you are done you will receive a lot of recognition in car world (not that you dont already with the rest of your stable).

I will have to get back to posting on the Misfit Ford website now that Falcon wagon project is completed

Well that site is dying off and I donated it to the Pinto Forums hoping they keep it alive. Scott said they will do something with it also. The Pinto is near complete except the 2.3 EFI conversion. Should be finished painting this week. This one is simple, I just wanted a grabber if you recall and a V8, I got lucky with this one.

I finished the Galaxie and it was just too big to drive around, not like when I was younger. Couldn't hardly find a place to park the thing, so it's in Germany now.

I picked up some keystones for the Grabber, the ones on there are almost new and I do like the original wheels on there, guess they've been on since 1973, so I'll probably be selling the ones on the car. Like I said, I want that 70s look and these really do fit the build!
