When I logged on to the MMB today, the Random Media at the top of the forum displayed two random pictures of a 4 door Maverick making it look like a 6 door Maverick. Here is an edited version It reminded me of the multi door station wagons used by airports in past. Has anyone ever seen a multi door Maverick/Comet?
I dont know why but I like that ugly wagon maybe its like those little dogs theyre so ugly theyre cute?
Was there not a stretch Maverick someone made from Brazil, or was it just a photo-shop deal? I'm not sure how practical a unibody 'limo' would be, strength-wise. I did find the picture, but it's not six full doors. It is just stretched. Neat, nonetheless..
That's awesome. The only thing better would be a 2 door wagon That would rock! These are really just gorgeous!!!
There used to be a 6dr Jeep Wagoneer around town about ten years ago or so. It had a personalized plate that read "JEEEP".
I drove limos for a while. It may be a neat idea, but actually driving a stretched car is a bit miserable. Think about it .... you add length and weight to a car and you are still confined by the stock steering and brakes. On a super-stretch, the mirror on the windshield becomes useless, because the rear window starts to look more like a postage stamp. All in all, the car is slower and the brakes don't work as well (weighs more) and cornering suffers (added length and having the same steering geometry it left the factory with). With a long enough stretch, you can need two lanes on each road to get around a 90 degree corner, like that Pontiac wagon.
