While I like all the Ford blues, I like that corporate blue the best. I have found both the medium and the dark blue used over the years.
Yes, but 1606 is the part # for Duplicolor. There are other Ford Corporate Blue by other paint manufactures that is too dark. Which is why you will see the 1606 mentioned as the right blue. The Duplicolor for the early lighter blue is 1601
Which is the correct color for all Ford engines from '66 till early '80s, when Ford went to industrial gray(I suppose it has a official name but I've never bothered to find out what it was)... Over the years heat, oil, gas, cleaners etc tended to lighten the paint but Corporate Blue is the correct color, it's taken from the background of the Ford oval... Used it on my Comet engine as well(what little I painted)... Ford would have painted everything, so it had a alu intake, it'd have been blue... Exception would be the Shelbys that intake was replaced when engine mods were made...
what is the correct way to put the radiator supprt seal on, yours is going back towards the engine, I seen some cars that were supposed to be original and they were going the other way, which direction did they go from the factory
I put mine on like yours seemed to make the most sense, but after looking at old pictures it might go the other way
The end farther from the fasteners faces the front. More air will get forced through the radiator core and not leak over the top of the tank.
Good eye. Mine is on backwards just to hide the trans cooler located between the radiator and the AC condenser.
