Emblems seem to disapear on cars thru the years. I do not think there was an option for an emblem delete.

My 77' Maverick has no emblems other than the 'Maverick" insignia on the grill and the FORD letters on the hood and trunklid. Maybe Ford Motor Company figured that enough people knew what the car was by then that it didn't need emblems anymore.

My car doesn't have emblems only because I took them all off.

Actually now that I think of it, my stallion has no emblems. Just says Maverick above the stallion head and of course the FORD letters used to be on the hood and deck lid.

My car has no hood emblem, grille never had a comet logo (wasnt optional), no Comet emblems on the fenders or behind the rear side glass.
Only place it says anything is mercury on the trunk lid.
The new hood I got, has the comet emblem on it, but it will be coming off.
Also, those side marker light deletes look pretty good. I may do that myself.

I replaced my fender and grille emblems with the Cobra emblems. They go along with the Shelby rear and it really throws everyone off when it comes to identifying the car. It amazes the heck out of me to see how many people ask me what kind of car it is. I've been to several cruise-ins so far and I've watched people walk around the car 2 or 3 times with a puzzled look :hmmm: on their face then they start looking for the owner with their questions. I've been loving every minute of it. I'll be entering it in my first open class judged car show next week so I'm anxious to see how it's going to do.

This car is mostly a drag car anyways, will the occasional trip around town.
I may not shave them, but was just a thought.
