    Can you tell me what you did here? Been wanting to do this with the comet for a while now, but I want it to look decent. That's awesome!

    Those are OE Valve covers from the 87-93 Mustangs with the 5.0, I sanded them as smooth as I could and primed them, then re sanded with 400 grit and painted them black, using a PPG basecoat urethane, once that dried to the touch I added the decals, then clear coated them. They look pretty sharp on the engine, painted grabber blue BTW. The decals were from Callie-Graphics in Albuquerqeu. Her email is admin@callie-graphics.com tell her she just made Dave in Colo Springs these decals, she may be able to make them for you, excellent people to deal with.

    Just cleaned it with steel wool, then taped it off when I painted the cover
