I am in the middle of building another Maverick, so I figured I would go to a swap meet at Maple Grove Raceway over the weekend. Found some good deals, a 70-72 front bumper filler for $10, new timing case cover for $30, flowmaster mufflers for $20, and some old school traction bars for $10. In addition I found a new Maverick hood trim for $20, the guy didn't even know what is was for. My question is, the hood trim says "made in Canada" on it, is that normal? Is it aftermarket?
Cool, thanks for the info. I'm thinking of using a fiberglass hood on the new car. What is the trim worth?
Apparently......it is worth $20 since that is what you paid for it. Now when you sell it, we will see what it is worth to somebody else.
You could probably put it on your fiberglass hood I was able to put one on mine, but the money you could sell it for could help buy other needed items. Good score on it anyway
I had a nice looking hood trim, it fit my fiberglass hood great, now I have a totally dent free hood trim piece but it needs cleaning/polishing.
I haven't decided if I'm using one of the fiberglass hoods from my 71 yet. These are the hoods I have now, they both would require some work to get the trim to fit. I may just leave the stock hood on the 73
