So I picked up a c4 to get my maverick back on the road. I had a b&m shifter that i can use so I'm trying to use some of the old shift linkage from the 3 speed on the tree. I have some pics but I will post more as I go.

Also I was told it was a c4 but can it me a c5?

RF-E2TP should be a C5, too new to be C4...

You planning on making a couple miter cuts to fit that shifter???

    AFAIK yokes are same...

C5 has lockup converter that will reduce cruse RPMs by approx 200, no overdrive...

What engine are you gonna use this behind??

I used a C5 in my 4dr 15 years ago. That was behind the 200. I swapped the 200 bell housing and the torque converter (and maybe the shift linkage, too IIRC). Used the same yoke and driveshaft, never had a problem...

That trans is actually a C4s, they were used in med to large cars and trucks..... I should work in the mavericks with no problems, I ran one in my old Maverick in the 90's.....

    Isn't a C-5 just a beefed up C-4? I knew a guy who had one in mid-'70s a F-150.
