Oh thanks... I think he has heard alot of my old stories about my maverick..... LOL... but i love to tell them again... one come to mind.... a high top work boots laces works well for a broken accelerator cable. Just fasten it to the carb... run it around the drivers finder and shut the hood. Once you get into the car and shut the door... place your left hand out the window and grab the shoe lace... pull it to go fast... loosen it to slow down..... I did that once... except it was harder for me.. as i had a 3 speed on the floor !!!! Had both hands working... left foot on the clutch... and left the steering wheel alone some of the time !!! City driving was hard @!!!!! Had to mention that story !! Kevin
Albany.... I was originally from Portland..................... How are you doing !!!!!! Hope i can learn from you !!!!!!!! Kevin
lol...What memories. I had to do the same thing 3 years ago. I routed my pull string through the firewall though. Had to drive it like that for 45 miles.
I tell ya... i am leaning more and more about him not even driving the car once i get it fixed up. I sat in my garage last night, looking at the car.... thinking about what it will be like when its done.... and my final thought was.... How am i goning to let him drive it.. let alone give it to him!!!!!
