I’m working on a 1974 Maverick. I need a glove box knob, front seat belts three point. Does the Front Seat Back Trim Panel and sunvisor bracket form a ’70 Hardtop mustang fit mavericks?
I don't know about the seat back panel for a 70 ... a bit of a different shape than 71-73 Mustang, and that is the same seat frame as 71-72 Grabber. To complicate this, 71 Mustang had the seat release in the middle of the back, and 72-73 had the release on the outboard sides, so there is a slot on each one and they become side-specific. I suspect 70 would have that center release also. 72-73 Mustang seat panels are available as repops, and may be the closest thing to 74 Mav seats. Mav seats changed a bit in 73 and the shape changed a bit too. So ... I have doubts about the 70 seat back.... may be a different shape. If it is the right shape, you would possibly get away with it by cutting a slot for the release. Sunvisor support (the plastic between the visors) .... those got used in a lot of Fords all the way through 80s pickups and vans. If that one doesn't work out for you, I have a small hoard of them here in different colors.
Any early to late 70's ford glovebox nob will be the same one as the mav/comet. That nob was used accross all the fomoco car lines.
