Will your wheels fit with the bigger brakes?

Was it as easy to install as it looks?

Hah! Was wondering if someone would catch that! I caught it right after I took the picture and posted it on here.

Pretty easy install, and I went with 11" disks because 15" rims are supposed to clear them.

I am waiting for some extra parts I ordered and it will be done. New brake lines, two fittings to bump the brake fitting up one size, and 95 mustang parking brake cables. They all had to be "special" ordered from Dallas store and will be here on Tuesday.

Nice! The brackets look similar to the Mustang Steve SN95 brackets, but his do not use the hub spacers and longer wheel studs. He only uses the rotor centering rings.

Can't wait to hear how they perform on the road. (y)

These are 94-00 Mustang Cobra calipers. Stock wheel studs. No spacers. Uses rotor centering rings.

I had to take the axles in to my rearend guy to have the old bearing pulled off. I couldn't find anything 1/2" thick that I could squeeze between the old bearings and the hub to press them off, without getting bent. So I paid $20 for him to press them off.

I had to grind a bit off where the axle and hub come together so that the bolt-on retainer plate could slide all the way to the hub. This allowed the caliper bracket to fit behind it, then I pressed on the new bearings. See attached pics.

I basically just extended that machined part outside of the bearing so that it stayed the same diameter all the way to the chamfer at the hub.

After that it was pretty much just a bolt-in kit.

    The instructions suggested...see pic.

Angle grinder. Took about 5 minutes per side to get the flange to fit over it, then I used a sanding disk to smooth it out.

If I still had access to a lathe, I would have done them the correct way.

Got it all back together today, and found the hoses and fittings at a local store. Got the wife "pump-it, pump-it, pump-it, to-the-floor" for a couple mins and everything is bubble-free and firm.

There is a good 3/4" clearance or more around all brake parts and the inside of my 15" cragars. So that is good.

Got ready to take a test drive...there is no safe way I can get the ends of the stock emergency brake cables secured away from moving parts.

So I need to wait until those 95 mustang brake cables come in this week before I can test drive.
